about us
ethical everydaywear
buy better, buy less
if our clothing is one of the worst polluters on the planet, it can also be a force for positive change…
Making good decisions about our purchases can be challenging – which is why our products help our customers feel confident in making the best choice they can. From fibre to fabric, manufacturing, packaging, logistics, every AWTM product is built to be durable and timeless. We believe making things that last both in quality and style will endure for years, retain their desirability and value to their owner as one of their favourite pieces in their wardrobe.
We like to ask all the questions and share information transparently, so you can build confidence in our brand – knowing that if it passes the AWTM test, it will be a purchase you will treasure for many years to come.
Join us on our quest to build a better tomorrow by buying less, and buying better.
With love, from south east london to the world
OUR STORY
the humble beauty of the everyday.
AWTM is rooted in the Abbey Wood & Thamesmead neighbourhoods in South East London, drawing inspiration from the area’s rich natural and human heritage. This often forgotten or maligned part of London is characterised by a distinctive dichotomy of utopia/dystopia – immortalised in film, television and music. Once a promising ‘Town of Tomorrow’, the humble suburban landscape is currently undergoing dramatic transformation, but still lacks the spark of being ‘put on the map’.
AWTM is a subtle invitation to look at this part of London in a different way, reframing the narrative to include its positive characteristics into the conversation which is dominated by negative perceptions – amongst locals, visitors and distant admirers alike..
End of life matters
leave no trace
Nothing is forever, or at least it shouldn’t be…
AWTM strives to make products and packaging exclusively with materials that are biodegradable, compostable and non-polluting when they reach their end-of-life. We even minimise harmful chemicals and dyes in production and manufacturing of these materials, and their transformation into products. No plastics, no polyester.
